Hi im working onBishopstoke uk for the next few months then i will return to add more stuff on here !

     Well what can i say relegation here we come !!!
                            With the team we have we should be safe in this league by now but we are looking like a pub side .But with these young lads in the team who are trying their best we need old pros but  they can't afford them  so sad !!!

     As i pass by the old vosper's site in woolston i notice the this is a hive of activity with ground clearing and the office building being pulled down . I hope it won't be many months before they start building work on the site but i think it will be many months before the finally get the go ahead for the new tower blocks on the site as many local people oppose this . Woolston is in great need of regeneration in some parts since vospers moved to Portsmouth and this development maybe the shot in the arm it needs . please let me know what you think !

P.S the large building in the above photo has since been demolished leaving just the crane on the site .

       Southampton for the last few years has been like a large building site . But since the downturn quite a lot of the building project have stopped or have been put on hold .Which is a shame because a lot of them would have made the city a such a fab place to live .Saying that a number of ideas have been put forward so all is not lost i hope in transforming this lovely city . I hope we get a number of new hotels and the long awaited ice-rink if you have any ideas or comments id love to hear them..

Hi i think Bishopstoke is one of the best villages in the uk to live !
      Because where else do you have nearby a motorway, a railway station , Southampton docks , Southampton Airport , woodlands to walk in , The Southdowns , Historic Winchester , The river walks along the river Itchen , Fishing at lakeside eastleigh , Shopping and a new cinema soon all with in 8 miles plus many other things !!

So what is really going on at Southampton FC.
        Whe have a manager who i think is doing a fine job under the circumstances with little or no cash to spend in a very hard league .Those clubs who come down from the premiership have large parchute payments to help them out so the will always be near the top of the league . Also there are those clubs eg QPR who have backers with very deep pockets .So the only way forward will to be develop the youth players and hope that we can stay in this league until the team starts to gel . But i do worry with the debts at a high level and the stadium still not payed for. If administration will be the only way Southampton FC will go then the only way will be down at least for a while!

Hi ive just paid a vist to the Touch of Spice  Indian and Bangladesh Take-Away02380 695088
            Upon entering the take away you notice the large clean open planed kitchen which your food is prepared and cooked in front of you . The Take-Away has a large menu to chose from and the staff are very polite when taking the order from you. As a bonus there is a 10%discount if you collect from the Take-Away .When i arrived home and dished up the meal which comprised of chicken korma,chicken tikka, pilau rice ,peshwari nan and pupperdoms it was hot and tasted of full flavour and the meat was tender .The meal was lovely experience and i will be returning 4/5 well done

The QE2 hit a sandbank at the entrance to the river itchen no damage was suffered and no one was injured local reporters said . It was pulled free with the use of four tugs then made its way up the itchen to its normal mooring.
 

How long do the people of the Eastleigh area have to wait for a link road along chickehall lane !
       Ive lived in the Eastleigh area all my life and Bishopstoke rd is now becoming a nightmare to drive along most times of the day with queues into Easleigh a common thing from 7.30 am - 7.30 pm .
  There is a cycle lane most of the way along but i think only the brave will try this also how many carbon emissions are there coming from the cars as the battle their way into Easleigh .
    Come on Hmpshire council and Easleigh council get a grip and sort it soon before you destroy not only the environment but lost of trade to the local business .

Southampton council are thinking about putting up wind turbines.
         The site has yet to be decided but will cost around 2 million pounds each is this really the way to go !
To some people they look nice but to others they are an eyesore . I'm wondering with all the water in the solent surely there is a better way to produce energy for the Southampton area.
Please let me know your comments on this

Hi last night i tried the ALMA INN Fairoak
      Wow what a change from the ALMA INN  it has been transfomed in to a carvery and what a price only £3.75 for a roast dinner with a choice of three joints and a selection of fresh vegetables . The staff where very polite and looked after my family very well . The total bill including three roast dinners and one pepsi ,one half of bitter shandy and a small rose wine was around £ 15 i can't do better than that
We will be returning  4.5 out of five keep it up

Hi the QE2 will be leaving southampton on the 11th of november 2008 .
        There will be around lunchtime a poppy drop from a plane as the QE2 is berthed in Southampton and later in the day a Hawker Harrier will pay its last respects to the QE2 by dipping it nose on the stern of the QE2 .
      In the evening of the 11th november there will be a firework display at mayflower park Southampton and later in the evening around 7.30 pm another firework display as the QE2 leaves Southampton for the last time!

Both Sothampton and Eastleigh are now starting to suffer from the downturn in the economy .With both places seeing more and more shops becoming empty with Eastleigh alone having 14 or more shops now empty and its new cimema complex being delayed until next easter . The town has also  not helped by the main road being closed for more than 6 months which has driven people away .
   Southampton has now has a number of its main building projects put on hold due to the slow down in the economy .Which is a shame as Southampton was on course to be a very modern city with a great showcase of new buildings !
